



From May 6 to 10, a delegation from Sumy National Agrarian University (SNAU), Ukraine, led by Rector Ihor Kovalenko and Vice-Rector Yuriy Danko, visitedHenan Institute of Science and Technology(HIST) to strengthen academic collaboration and exchange.
Warm Welcome and Bilateral Talks
On the afternoon of May 6, HISTChairman of University Council, Song Yawei and Vice President Liu Quanyong met with the Ukrainian delegation in the 1211 Meeting Room of the Administration Building. Secretary Song extended a warm welcome and reviewed the ongoing cooperative projects between the two universities, expressing gratitude for SNAU’s strong support.
Rector Kovalenko emphasized SNAU’s commitment to deepening ties withHIST, noting the solid foundation of collaboration and friendship already established. He expressed hopes to expand cooperation into new fields and enhance talent cultivation at a higher level.
Joint Academic Development Meeting
On the morning of May 7, a Joint Cooperation Meeting was held in the 901 Conference Room, attended byHISTPresident Kan Yunchao, Vice President Liu Quanyong, and the SNAU delegation. Both sides discussed key areas, including:
Curriculum development and teaching management at the Sumy International College (joint institute)
Operational mechanisms for smoother collaboration
Expanding joint programs and raising cooperation to a higher level
The two universities agreed to strengthen communication and work together to ensure the high-quality development of Sumy International College and further deepen their partnership.
Student Interaction and Academic Lectures
In the afternoon, an exchange session with Sumy International College students was held in the 308 Meeting Room. Rector Kovalenko encouraged students to excel academically while developing a global mindset, preparing them to become internationally competitive professionals.
